English Fisherman


The Severn estuary in the England and Wales the junction, every year the wild Atlantic salmon will migrate to multiply. For centuries, when the fishing season comes, the fisherman will be used the most traditional way to catch them. But in recent years, the local just a less have qualified to several fishermen fishing to Atlantic salmon with the substantial reduction in the number of the wild Atlantic salmon.




There is Severn estuary, one fisherman in the river fishing the wild Atlantic salmon. In this village of Portmeirion, just leaving 8 fishermen have qualified to several fishing to the wild Atlantic salmon. At the fishing season, they are most can catch 15 Atlantic salmons. Fishermen fishing method of very old, it was using a "Y"-shaped nets, nets handle of willow or ash wooden, fishing net hanging in the two support arm, and now this fishing nets have been very rare.



In recent years, a substantial reduction of the number with the local wild Atlantic salmon, as well as the government explicitly fishing time and restrictions on the number, using the traditional nets and salmon fishing opportunities has become increasingly less, but several the local fisherman still want to be able to continue the ancient skills passed along.



在英格兰与威尔士交界处的塞汶河口,野生大西洋鲑鱼每年都会洄游到这里繁衍,几个世纪以来,每到捕捞季节,当地的渔民就会采用最传统的方法捕捞它们。不过近些年,随着野生大西洋鲑鱼数量的大幅度减少,当地只剩下几位渔民具有资格捕捞大西洋鲑鱼。   这里就是赛汶河口,一位渔夫正在湍急的河水中捕捞大西洋鲑鱼。在这个名为“波特梅里恩”的小镇上,如今只剩下8个渔民具有在当地捕捞鲑鱼的资格,而每个捕鱼季节中,他们最多只能捕捞15条大西洋鲑鱼。这些渔民采用的捕鱼方法非常古老,是使用一个呈“Y”字形的鱼网,鱼网的手柄由柳树或白蜡木制成,捕鱼用的网则悬挂在两个支臂上,如今这种捕鱼网已经非常少见。近些年,随着当地野生大西洋鲑鱼数量的大幅度减少,以及政府对于捕鱼时间和数量的限制,采用传统鱼网捕捞鲑鱼的机会已经越来越少了,不过当地几位渔民依然希望,能够继续将这项古老的技能传承下去。
