The Severn estuary in the England and Wales the junction, every year the wild Atlantic salmon will migrate to multiply. For centuries, when the fishing season comes, the fisherman will be used the most traditional way to catch them. But in recent years, the local just a less have qualified to several fishermen fishing to Atlantic salmon with the substantial reduction in the number of the wild Atlantic salmon.

There is Severn estuary, one fisherman in the river fishing the wild Atlantic salmon. In this village of Portmeirion, just leaving 8 fishermen have qualified to several fishing to the wild Atlantic salmon. At the fishing season, they are most can catch 15 Atlantic salmons. Fishermen fishing method of very old, it was using a "Y"-shaped nets, nets handle of willow or ash wooden, fishing net hanging in the two support arm, and now this fishing nets have been very rare.

Early filmmaking was not as sophisticated as early photography in its use of artificial light. The website Film Reference notes that in the era of silent movies, filmmakers primarily accessed natural light. They used rooftop sets or studios "built with either an open air design or glass roof." This provided clarity, but not dramatic effects. As the range of lighting sources increased and filmmakers became aware of the effects that they could create, lighting design increasingly affected moviemaking technique.

Adding light to a scene gives the director control of how the shot is filmed and can be used to set a tone or mood for the film, add suspense or influence the viewers' emotions.

We are choosing one music room, in the room has a big window, and there is whit sufficient sunlight. We want shooting one-person play music at the bar at night. But the room is so sunny. So we turn off the window curtain, but the sun is also strong.

         
 
Teacher gives us some silver paper. The silver paper is nonpenetrate light paper; it can really shut out sun and it can be reflection of light. Today we just use it for shading. First, we should use sprinkling can make the window wet. Second, take the silver paper put the wet window. The room will become dark, when the window plastered with silver paper. And then, we design the light. So we tried many ways for light. At last we choose one kinds of light that from the actor’s top right corner and this light from the top down. On the light, we put one blue shade paper, make the room have rock atmosphere. And then the light is follow the camera change different location. In the end, we make three different locations shot film.

                     

                     

When we finished, we are exchanging our films. Actually, the other two groups at the living room and the meeting room.
They work very well, I believe that this day we all learned a lot and just applied to today’s shooting. I can do team work with group is really good. In the process of team cooperation, we will have differences. But in the end can be a good deal with these processes ,and we help each other to open the limitations of thinking of the individual. To make our work more perfect, we combines everyone’s good thoughts together. I really like team work, I hope I can have more opportunities for team work.

Nanook of the North

Nanook of the North is one of the earliest documentaries ever made and certainly the first famous feature-length documentary. Its contribution to filmmaking was recognized in 1989 by being one of the first 25 films to be selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress. Nanook was shot around the Hudson Bay region in Quebec, Canada. Robert Flaherty, the film’s director, had worked in the area as a explorer and had become familiar with the lifestyle of the native Eskimos. Flaherty decided to document their lives by focusing on the life of one family in particular, whose patriarch/breadwinner was named Nanook.

This movie was ground-breaking for its time. It showed audiences a remote location that most had never been to and a foreign culture that had, up till now, only been read about. There are no actors, props, or studio sets here. You see this family live a life of constant struggle as they are in a perpetual search for food. Although much of what you see here is now widely known by people and has been seen in better looking formats on the Discovery Channel, the film will still manage to engage your interest. You see how these people capture seals, walruses, fish, build igloos, and basically stay alive in an extremely harsh and inhospitable environment.

Nanook of the North has been criticized for not being entirely authentic and for being manipulative. True, Flaherty did stage a few scenes in order to better demonstrate Eskimo life. For example, Nanook was not the real name of the titular Eskimo and he actually used a gun to hunt instead of the spear you see in the movie. However, Flaherty wanted to show his audience how the Eskimos have lived for most of their history rather than show the modern conveniences they now have. I don’t mind a little fakery every once in awhile to tell your story. One can even go so far as to say that no documentary is truly a totally objective and authentic portrayal of the events being shown because the subjects are aware of a camera being pointed at them. Flaherty’s goal was to show audiences how Eskimos lived and, in his judgment, this required some staging. In the end, however, Nanook of the North is an effective film that accomplished what it set out to do, which was to educate its audience.

Will this movie bore you? I don’t think Nanook of the North is for most people I know. As much as I like the film, its not something to play for a gathering of friends on a Saturday night. However, if you have an interest in documentary filmmaking or film history, this is definitely worth checking out.

Maldives fisherman goes fishing tuna – an environmentally friendly and sustainable development in the traditional way.

Maldives Hulhumeedhoo is a small island surrounded by the sea, coral reefs and palm trees, with more than 4,000 people living on this island. Tuna fishing is island residents’ means of survival, they use the traditional fishing rod and rope fishing has a hundred years old.

There the fisherman said, best way fishing is use the hooks, fishing rope and bait. They are think this fishing way is future way. They just go fishing tuna, other need not. Their fishing gear is designed specifically for tuna.  Sharks and dolphins will not fire. Fishing from Europe often use purse-seine fishing in the Indian Ocean, a clean sweep all marine life, resulting the depletion resources. In the Maldives, fishery output value accounted 6-8% the country's GDP. Maldivian fisherman worried that such fishing methods will result in extinction fish stocks.

Dhoni ship is Maldives traditional fishing ship, the latter part ship is a platform that to facilitate fishing. Ship-owner will hire some fishermen on board to fishing tuna.

British have many large supermarket chains and aquatic retailers have been imported tuna from Maldives.

Go fishing tuna use hooks and fishing rope more sustainable. If we use fishing nets, and that all the fish will disappear. Tomorrow no fish catch.

Come to buy tuna fishing when they come back, there will be a lot of villagers riding a bicycle or motorcycle.

马尔代夫的渔民用传统的方法捕捞金枪鱼——一种环保又可持续发展的钓鱼方法。

马尔代夫的Hulhumeedhoo是一个被海水、珊瑚礁和棕榈树包围的小岛，在这个岛上生活着4000多人。捕捞金枪鱼是岛上居民赖以生存的手段，他们使用传统的鱼竿和绳索钓鱼已经有上百年历史了。

那里的渔民说，最好的捕鱼方法是使用鱼钩、钓绳和鱼饵。他们觉得这是未来的捕鱼方法。他们只会钓金枪鱼，其它都不要。他们的渔具是专门为金枪鱼设计的。鲨鱼和海豚都不会被误伤。来自欧洲的渔船常常在印度洋使用围网的捕捞方法，把所有海洋生物一网打尽，造成资源枯竭。在马尔代夫，渔业产值占该国GDP的6-8%。马尔代夫的渔民担心这种捕捞方法会造成鱼群的灭绝。

多尼船是马尔代夫的传统渔船，船的后半部是一个平台，方便钓鱼。经常船主会雇佣一些渔民在船上为他钓金枪鱼。

英国的许多大型连锁超市和水产品零售商一直是从马尔代夫进口金枪鱼的。

Chinese Traditional Fishing

In China, people think all year round fishing, the spring and autumn is peak season, but summer and winter is off-season. Fishermen to create a unique fishing experience in practice life. They know what the season how we can in what waters what kinds of fish. And various fishing gear has a different purpose.

Fishing tools can be divided into fork, hook and nets three types. Harpoon has activity arm fork and connecting rod fork. When the activity arm fork fishing, the fork will from the fork head sleeve tied with rope, holding the fork fish do not escape. Activity arm fork have two sizes, the large one is to catch sturgeon fish, before we can catch 500 kg of sturgeon fish, but now the 400 kg is too less. 冬季捕鱼又是一种不一样的方法。渔民会先在江面冰上建一小屋，在屋中凿一个直径1米的冰窟窿，关起门来，屋里变暗之后，冰下免就会很清晰很亮。鱼游到冰洞的时候很容易看到和叉中。以前鱼多的时候，渔民就坐在冰洞旁用笊篱向外舀鱼，半天就可捕捞到上吨的鲜鱼。然后再利用天然冷冻，装箱运往各地。
捕不同的鱼用不同的钩。有种被称为“快钩”的渔具，是在40至50米的钓绳上拴有300个鱼钩，每钩一次，就可获得一串活鱼。
网捕的收获量最大。每当渔讯来临，渔民便家家户户备干粮补鱼网，作好捕鱼准备。他们一般使用长10米至15米，宽２至５米片网捕鱼，在水域宽阔的地方，有时将10多片网连接在一起使用。碰上好运气一网就能捕到5000多公斤鱼。

The most obvious purpose of film lighting is to illuminate the actors, sets and props within a given scene. Without proper illumination, the audience will literally be left in the dark. Film lighting techniques can define the genre and atmosphere of the project. For example, documentaries depend on natural light when interviews are taking place outside. Scripted films may require a sharper look and may require artificial lighting techniques.

Reflecting light is an important tool in the film lighting process. The fill light is typically placed lower than the key light in order to reduce shadows on the subject being filmed. Directors have the choice of using either an actual lamp or a reflector such as a bounce card as the fill light. Either way, the fill should reflect light back onto the subject in order to manipulate shadows.

Separating the actor from the background of a scene is crucial in the filmmaking process. Backlights can be placed above and behind the actor being filmed. The backlight should never be aimed directly at the camera lens. A properly placed backlight can outline -- or create a subtle glow around -- the actor.

We are start! Before we try many ways make the light, but there are all not good. And then teacher come here, teach us make the lights off the wall. It is amazing.  
Bounce your brightest lights off of the wall or ceiling to have your light cover a large area. This lighting scheme is most useful for situations when the cinematographer has to move around the set. Bouncing light simply raises the light levels of an entire room so that everyone in it can be evenly illuminated.

In the film scenes, the boy always located in center. ‘Come on, Kes’ boy’s look and actions are extremely serious, as if all the vitality life here. Falconry is boy greatest spiritual sustenance. No obvious climax of film, but the lens let me impressive. Contrast outcome, the brother killed hawk. When watched here, I could not help heartache.

In that time of the British countryside, the tragedy occurred end such inevitable. Boy makes the dead hawk gently buried in the yellow grass, it have a clearly end of the story. Life boring, empty and cruel, only boy goes childlike face or make people believe there have hope. When the boy buried his beloved hawk moment, perhaps his mind the hawk is a full-fledged, is flying to the sky of freedom.
